Business Development & Sales Associate (Co-op)

Job Description:

Public Yield Capital (PYC) is an investment outreach platform specializing in connecting early-stage and publicly-listed companies with retail and institutional investors. Our business development and sales team is at the forefront of expanding PYC’s market reach and building strategic relationships with issuers and investment firms.

As a Business Development & Sales Associate, you will gain hands-on experience in lead generation, investor outreach, and sales strategy development. You will work closely with senior team members to identify potential clients, execute outreach campaigns, and drive engagement for capital-raising initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential clients, including startups, public companies, and investment firms.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and lead generation through emails, LinkedIn, and phone outreach.
  • Assist in pitch development and client presentations for investment marketing solutions.
  • Support the development of sales materials and investment marketing proposals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align outreach efforts with brand positioning.
  • Track and analyze business development metrics, providing reports on performance.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage clients professionally.
  • Interest in capital markets, investor relations, and financial services.
  • Ability to conduct market research and identify sales opportunities.
  • Previous experience in sales, lead generation, or business development is an asset.

Self-starter with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
