Job Overview

As a Controller, you will be responsible for controlling the day-to-day accounting-related functions, financial reporting and compliance for our firm. On the financial side, you will supervise cash flow, banking, payables, receivables, reporting and operating budgets. You will also oversee the management side, managing the general ledger, budgets, forecasting and financial reporting. Collaborating with various departments, your role is to consolidate financial information and provide insights for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly consolidation to ensure financial statements are accurate for business-decision making purposes and meet reporting deadlines
• Supervise monthly bank reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns
• Deliver operational reports and quarterly updates to the audit committee
• Execute all aspects of our accounting and reporting processes
• Assess effectiveness of internal control designs in accordance with changing business activities
• Monitor and implement new accounting standards, controls and policies
• Collaborate with leadership team to ensure results comply with GAAP and internal policies

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA, CMA or other equivalencies.
• Technical accounting skills and advanced proficiency in SAP is an asset
• Expertise in current GAAP standards and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience designing and working with accounting and financial reporting systems
