Investment Outreach Associate

Public Yield Capital (PYC) is an investment outreach platform enabling startups and public companies to reach and engage with a high volume of investors at scale to support capital raises through Regulation A+, Reg. CF, Reg. D, and other equity crowdfunding opportunities.

As part of PYC’s Investor Outreach Desk, this role is integral to our mission of providing tailored investment marketing strategies. Our outreach desk specializes in direct engagement with potential investors, leveraging both outbound and inbound communication to educate, inform, and drive engagement. The team adheres to the highest investment-related compliance standards, ensuring potential investors are equipped to make informed decisions.

Job Description

We are seeking an Investment Outreach Associate to join our Investor Outreach Desk.

This role offers a unique learning experience in the capital markets, providing support for capital-raising efforts and educating potential retail investors about new issuers’ opportunities.

• Key Responsibilities
• Develop call scripts and knowledge bases for issuers and their investment opportunities.
• Conduct daily outbound and inbound calls to engage with potential retail investor leads on behalf of issuers, supporting their understanding of the opportunity.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of issuers’ businesses, strategies, investment theses, and financials.
• Record and update daily call activities while maintaining accurate records in the database.
• Provide administrative support and assist with special business development projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• University degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset.
• Previous sales experience is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and leverage new technologies.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• A team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn.
• Positive attitude and professional phone demeanour.
